How to apply for a school place

The school serves the town of Eye, the villages of Brome, Oakley, Denham, Redlingfield and part of Braiseworth.  These villages comprise the catchment area for the school; however, we also welcome admissions from other areas.

Children can commence school full-time in the September following their fourth birthday, and may start in the Nursery once they are three years old.

For further information on admissions, including over-subscription criteria, please view our Admissions Policy on our Policies page.

For Local Authority guidance on admissions, please visit the Suffolk County Council website.

Applying for Reception class for 2017-18 Intake

If your child was born between 1st September 2013 and 31st August 2014, it is currently too early to apply for a Reception place for 2018-19.

The deadline for Suffolk County Council to receive applications for Reception is yet to be confirmed, but will be in January 2018.

We strongly advise that you also choose second and third preferences for schools and apply online, as this prevents loss of forms and speeds up the processing of applications at County.

Places for the 2017-18 intake have now been allocated. Parents wishing to still apply for Reception 2017-18 must complete both of the following forms to complete the application process:

ADM1. To be submitted to the school office.
Download the ADM1 form here.

Supplementary Information Form (SIF). To be returned to the school office.
Download the SIF 2017-18 here
Alternatively, pick up a SIF form from the school office.
